The psychological symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD) worsen the quality of life of patients and their partners. However, these non-motor symptoms (mainly anxiety and depression) remain undiagnosed and undertreated in PD. Here, we report the benefits of a 12-week intervention using talking therapy (psychotherapy and counselling). This work was conducted in a group of individuals (people living with PD, and partners) with mild-to-moderate anxiety and depression. We discuss our results in context and conclude that short-term talking therapy should be integrated into PD therapeutics.

Previous evidence suggests that certain types of nuts, when included in a healthy diet pattern, may provide health benefits. Therefore, we hypothesize that the consumption of cashew nuts associated with a healthy diet may enhance antioxidant defenses and improve anthropometric and body composition parameters in individuals with obesity. We conducted a 12-week randomized clinical trial, divided into 4 sessions, involving adolescents randomly assigned to receive either 30 g of roasted cashew nuts together with nutrition education (cashew nut group-CNG) or only nutrition education (control group-CG).

Study Design: Literature Review with clinical recommendations.
Objective: To highlight impactful studies on pyogenic spondylodiscitis (PS), identified by the AO Spine Knowledge Forum Trauma and Infection, with recommendations for their integration into clinical practice.
Methods: Five influential studies on PS that have the potential to shape current practice in spinal infections were selected and reviewed.
Aim And Background: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of silymarin in improving liver function and reducing liver stiffness in chronic liver disease (CLD) patients. Silymarin, a hepatoprotective agent, has shown potential benefits in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and liver fibrosis, but evidence in CLD with varied etiologies remains limited. This study addresses the gap by assessing its impact across diverse etiological subgroups.

Our previous study revealed the benefits of chronic melatonin intake on dynamic postural imbalance and poor walking capacity induced by multiple sclerosis but its impact on muscle weakness and poor manual dexterity related to this disease has not yet been explored. The objective of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of 12-week melatonin supplementation on motor skills (i.e.

This study aimed to evaluate the comparative efficacy of Myo-inositol (MI) and D-chiro-inositol (DCI) with metformin in enhancing ovarian function, promoting ovulation, and reducing perceived stress in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Women with PCOS were identified using the Androgen Excess Society's criteria, and 60 participants were enrolled and divided equally into two groups. One group received a 40:1 ratio of MI plus DCI, while the other received metformin for a 12-week period.
