This case report is about an 84-year-old female patient with a history of high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma who was diagnosed with a renal pseudotumor. Initial imaging in February 2023 showed signs of a renal cell carcinoma and possible lung metastases. A CT-guided biopsy and histopathological analysis ruled out malignancy and confirmed a benign inflammatory pseudotumor. This case underlines the importance of a biopsy to avoid unnecessary treatments such as nephrectomy and emphasizes the worth of comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. These steps are important to prevent unnecessary surgical interventions, overtreatment and to focus on effective, targeted therapy for the actual underlying pathology.

Aim: This study aimed to identify the imaging feature of perinephric myxoid pseudotumor of fat (PMPF) in a large cohort.
Materials And Methods: Institutional radiology and pathology databases were queried for PMPF for the period from January 2010 to December 2023. Of the 22 identified individuals, two were excluded due to nonavailability of computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MR) images and five due to lack of pathological confirmation.

Purpose Of Review: To review the management of Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) with co-existing conditions affecting therapy: obesity, sulfa allergy, nephrolithiasis, and pregnancy.
Recent Findings: The IIH-WT trial showed that bariatric surgery is currently the most effective method for obese patients with IIH to lose weight, leading to normalization of CSF pressure in many cases. Allergy to sulfonamide antibiotics does not preclude the use of acetazolamide; rather, penicillin allergy or multiple drug allergies are the strongest predictor of a hypersensitivity reaction.

Perinephric myxoid pseudotumor of fat (PMPF) is a recently described and rare retroperitoneal mass-forming lesion whose clinical significance chiefly involves mimicry of a variety of soft tissue tumors. For unknown reasons, it commonly occurs in male patients with underlying non-neoplastic renal diseases and/or type 2 diabetes (DMT2). A total of 55 cases have been reported in the literature.
