Some skin tumors can extend beyond their clinical appearance. This presents an additional challenge, especially when the affected area is the genital region, which is more difficult for both the patient and the physician to access and monitor due to its location and anatomical characteristics. The treatment of these lesions is complex, and literature postulates Mohs surgery as the best therapeutic option. We describe our experience in two patients with the resection of vulvar lentiginous melanoma and genital extramammary Paget's disease, using a method of deferred lateral margin control in the surgical treatment. The "spaghetti technique"(ST) initially removing a small strip from all lateral margins of the lesion, which is then closed directly while awaiting the paraffin histological result. In a second stage, the tumors within those margins are removed, and immediate reconstruction is performed. The final oncological and functional result was satisfactory, with no notable side effects. This method is suited for large, poorly defined superficial tumors in the genital, perineal, and perianal regions, where a frozen section study would be slow and burdensome for the patient and surgeon. The ST preserves healthy tissue and can be performed by any surgeon and pathologist without additional training, and is more comfortable for patients, avoiding prolonged open wounds during multiple steps of tumor excision.

Introduction And Importance: Maintaining mobility and hence the productivity of individuals depends on the preservation of lower limb integrity. Increasing violence, mainly triggered by weapons, inversely impacts limb functionality, and the resulting wounds require proper care.

Case Presentation: A 47-year-old African man without any previous medical conditions experienced an injury to his right leg from a high-speed accident, resulting in an open fracture in the upper third of the tibia with missing tissue.

Service de CMF, CHU de Caen, Caen, France. Electronic address:

Superior orbital frontal clefts are one of the rare craniofacial clefts described by Tessier in 1976, and occur most often sporadically. They are numbered 9, 10 and 11 in this classification, and are located respectively laterally, in the middle and medially to the upper part of the orbit. Their clinical expression is variable on soft tissue and bone, with possible dissociation of involvement.

Article Synopsis
  • The thoracolumbar junction is a complex area of the spine that poses challenges for surgical approaches due to its complicated anatomy.
  • A 54-year-old woman with Stage IV breast cancer and severe low back pain underwent a minimally invasive surgery for spinal issues stemming from her cancer.
  • The procedure involved a corpectomy at L1, installation of an expandable cage, and robotic-assisted fixation of spinal segments from T11 to L3, highlighting advancements in surgical techniques for cancer patients.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the leading causes of death globally. Currently, diagnosis and intervention in CAD are typically performed via minimally invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Using current diagnostic technology, such as angiography and fractional flow reserve (FFR), interventional cardiologists must decide which patients require intervention and which can be deferred; 10% of patients with stable CAD are incorrectly deferred using current diagnostic best practices.
