This study investigates whether lower self-regulation (SR) facets are risk factors for internalizing symptoms (vulnerability models), consequences of these symptoms (scar models), or develop along the same continuum and thus share common causes (spectrum models) during middle childhood. To analyze these models simultaneously, a random intercept cross-lagged panel model was estimated using Mplus. Data were assessed at three measurement time points in a community-based sample of = 1657 (52.

Alexithymia, a cognitive and emotional deficit characterized by difficulty in expressing emotions and identifying feelings, poses significant challenges in healthcare settings. Developing a reliable and valid tool to measure alexithymia in post-prostatectomy patients would not only aid healthcare professionals in identifying at-risk individuals but also facilitate early intervention and targeted support. This study aimed to translate the Brief Form of the Normative Male Alexithymia Scale (NMAS-BF) into Simplified Chinese, evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version, and explore its influencing factors.

Autistic adults experience greater rates of anxiety and depression compared to the general population. Compassion-focused therapy interventions, aimed at promoting self-compassion capabilities, have shown efficacy in improving mental health outcomes in autistic and non-autistic samples suffering from self-criticism that contribute to difficulties in emotion regulation. We explored the experiences of autistic adults during a brief one-week online self-compassion exercise to evaluate it's feasibility and acceptability through self-report, experience sampling, and parasympathetic activity measured via HRV.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) serves as a non-invasive technique for assessing cell status, while mechanical stretching plays a pivotal role in stimulating cells to emulate their natural environment. Integrating these two domains enables the concurrent application of mechanical stimulation and EIS in a stretchable cell culture system. However, challenges arise from the difficulty in creating a durable and stable stretchable impedance electrode array.
