3D virtual modelling (3DVM) of mesenteric vasculature and indocyanine green perfusion angiography (ICGPA) should correlate for the purposes of better preoperative planning and intraoperative performance during laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with complete mesocolic excision (CME) and central vascular ligation (CVL) for proximal colon cancer. We studied this, and their combined impact on surgical decision making, in a cohort of 20 such patients undergoing CT mesenteric angiography and 3DVM prior to surgery with the surgical team utilizing these technologies for operative planning. ICGPA was employed intraoperatively in every case to assess the perfusion of the planned anastomotic site. Preoperative planning with 3DVM correlated highly with intraoperative findings including major vessel presence (95 %) and ICGPA signalling (100 %) with no postoperative anastomotic complications observed. The analysis highlights how personalized, 3D virtual vascular maps can contribute to decisions on surgical resection extent and anastomotic site, ensuring adequate perfusion for healing and optimizing patient outcomes.

Mandibular gingival squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common oral cancer after tongue cancer. As these carcinomas often invade the mandible early, accurately defining the resection extent is important. This report highlights the use of preoperative virtual surgery data, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, surgical guidance, and extended reality (XR) support in achieving highly accurate marginal mandibulectomy without recurrence or metastasis.

: The number of incidental renal lesions identified in CT scans of the abdomen is increasing. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine whether hyperdense renal lesions without solid components in a portal venous CT scan can be clearly classified as vascular or non-vascular by material decomposition into iodine and water. Background: The aim of this study was to assess the possibility of image improvement of ECG-gated, high-pitch computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the thoracoabdominal aorta before transaortic valve replacement (TAVR) on a novel dual-source photon-counting detector CT (PCD-CT) in the setting of suboptimal low-contrast attenuation.
Methods: Continuously examined patients who underwent an ECG-gated, high-pitch CTA of the aorta on a PCD-CT with a contrast decrease of at least 50% between the ascending aorta and the common femoral arteries (CFA) were included. Patient characteristics were documented.

Purpose: Congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) is a rare condition typically manifesting within the first decade of life. The primary objectives of surgical intervention for CPT include achieving long-term bony union of the tibia, preventing or minimizing limb length discrepancies (LLD), avoiding mechanical axis deviations of the tibia and adjacent joints, and preventing refracture. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of current treatment methods for CPT to determine the most effective non-surgical and surgical management strategies for pediatric patients with this condition.
