Chemotherapy is included in the standard of care for cancer treatment during pregnancy. However, whether prenatal exposure to maternal chemotherapy treatment has a mutagenic impact on the fetal genome, remains unexplored. Therefore, we investigated mutation accumulation in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) from neonates born to pregnant cancer patients treated with chemotherapy, as well as healthy pregnant women and untreated pregnant cancer patients.

Background: Zinc finger proteins (ZNFs) have been proved to play important roles in driving the progression of breast cancer (BC), one of the most common cancers among women. This study aimed to investigate the involvement of zinc-finger SWIM domain-containing protein 3 () in promoting BC cell progression by regulating lipid metabolism.
Methods: Differential expression of in BC was confirmed by comparing its expression in normal human mammary epithelial cells and BC cells.

Phenotypic screening of existing drugs is a good strategy to discover new drugs. Herein, 33 psychotherapeutic drugs in our drug library were screened by phenotypic screening and penfluridol (PFD) was found to exhibit excellent anti-endometrial cancer (EC) activity both and . Furthermore, the molecular target of PFD was identified as septin7, a tumor suppressor in EC.

The noninvasive prenatal test (NIPT) for genetic screening has been adopted globally as an alternative to first-trimester and quad screening due to its high sensitivity and specificity. NIPT involves detecting and processing foreign fetal DNA in maternal circulation to screen for fetal aneuploidy. An incidental consequence of this process is the detection of foreign tumor cell DNA in maternal circulation in otherwise asymptomatic patients.
