Lynn S. Muller, JD, RN, BA-HCM, CCM, began her career at Pace University as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), went onto earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Care Management at St. Peter's University of New Jersey and then her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is currently a practicing Attorney and the managing partner of Muller & Muller. Her practice includes the defense of healthcare professionals before the state licensing boards, case management litigation, family law, wills, trusts, and estates, as well as consulting representation of medical practitioners, facilities and health service corporations on such issues as regulatory compliance and day-to-day operations. Background: There is a lack of diversity within neurosurgery; in 2019, only 12%, 4%, and 5% of neurosurgeons identify as female, black, and Latinx respectively. Project Synapse, a youth outreach initiative, aims to diversify the neurosurgical workforce by exposing youth from underrepresented minority (URM) backgrounds to neurosurgery. The purpose of this manuscript is to describe the outcomes of the first 2 years of Project Synapse.

Upon exposure to inflammatory stimuli including TNF-α, endothelial cells are activated leading to the adhesion of monocytes to their surface. These events are involved in the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis. Since TNF-α activates the NF-κB pathway, which contributes to atherosclerosis, targeting this signaling pathway may help prevent the risk of developing the disease.

Whether such an exercise regimen can impact circulating EVs (cEVs) remains unknown. In this study, we investigated the influence of exercise on cEV level and function.
