Agro-industrial residues have transitions from being an environmental problem to being a cost-effective source of biopolymers and value-added chemicals. However, the efficient extraction of the desired products from these residues requires pretreatments. Fungal biorefinery is a fascinating approach for the biotransformation of raw materials into multiple products in a single batch. In this study, the ability of R to convert fruit scrap and green waste into value-added chemicals was tested in solid-state and in nonsterile conditions. A solid-state fermentation protocol for a tray bioreactor was developed using spawn as the inoculum for nonsterile substrates. R drove the fermentation of both substrates, shaping the metabolites that were enriched in the secondary plant metabolites. Strain R showed cellulase activity only when inoculated on fruit scraps, resulting in increased amounts of polysaccharides in the crude extract. This extract was also enriched in vanillic acid and limonoid, which are intriguing compounds due to the increasing interest in their potential as biological nitrification inhibitors or food additives. Finally, trimethoxybenzaldehyde, an interesting chemical building block, was identified in the extracts of the -guided fermentation. The overall results showed that the application of R has potential as a driver to facilitate the extraction of bioactive substances from nonsterile recalcitrant substrates.

Purpose: This study aims to examine how government fiscal and tax incentives facilitate the development and application of green technologies, promoting corporate environmental responsibility and improving public health and hygiene.
Methods: The study utilizes empirical data from listed enterprises in the new energy automobile industry between 2018 and 2023. A multiple regression model is used to assess the effects of government subsidies and tax incentives on green technological innovation and enterprise growth, controlling for various factors such as enterprise size and R&D investment.

Introduction: Due to the current climatic situation of the planet and the increase in concern for the environment, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) aims to be a model for the university community in terms of the preservation of the ecosystem and prevention of the environmental impact caused by daily tasks; thus, aligning itself with the goals of the 2030 Agenda. For this reason, a project has been launched to carry out the green transformation of the UPV toward a university that prioritizes sustainability in all its areas.
Methods: As part of this project, a survey was conducted using anonymous online questionnaires for the student population and employees.

The benzothiazole ring system has been recognised with crucial pharmacophoric features being present among various approved drugs and clinical and pre-clinical candidates. The medicinal importance of this privileged scaffold stimulated the interest of synthetic medicinal/ organic chemists for the synthesis of its derivatives due to their diverse biological applications. In most of the reports in the literature, benzothiazoles were synthesized by cyclocondensation of 2- aminothiophenol with either carboxylic acid and its derivatives or aldehydes.

Single-use plastics (SUPs) are used widely in cancer research laboratories. They are cheap, durable, and lightweight, and until now have been considered disposable items. This, however, contributes significantly to unsustainable waste production.

Advanced carbon-metal hybrid materials with controllable electronic and optical properties, as well as chemical reactivities, have attracted significant attention for emerging applications, including energy conversion and storage, catalysis and environmental protection. However, the commercialization of these materials is hampered by several vital problems, including energy-intensive synthesis and expensive chemicals, and inefficient control of their structures and properties. Herein, we report the simple and controllable engineering of nanocarbon-metal self-assembled silver nanocatalysts (SSNs) derived from polycarbonate (PC)-based optical discs using microplasmas under ambient conditions.
