SnO thin films were deposited on Si substrates by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering technique, and the effects of different sputtering power (60-90 W) on the structural, surface morphological, and electrical properties of the film were investigated with XRD, Raman, AFM, SEM, and fore point probe. The deposited SnO film at lower RF was amorphous, while well-defined intense XRD signals at higher RF power indicated significant improvement in crystalline nature. E and A vibrating modes related to SnO were clearly observed in the Raman spectra. With the increasing RF sputtering power, the surface roughness of the films gradually increased while electrical resistivity revealed sharp decrease.

This study evaluates the deposition of diamond-like carbon (DLC) films with copper impurities on a glass substrate using simultaneous direct current (DC) and radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering. The structural, optical, electrical, and mechanical properties, as well as the surface topography of the films, were investigated under various DC power levels using Raman spectroscopy, ellipsometry, UV-VIS, I-V measurements, nanoindentation, AFM, and FESEM. Results indicate that increasing the DC power to the graphite target from 60 to 120 , while maintaining a constant 10 of RF power to the copper target, enhances the optical absorption coefficient of the films and increases the optical bandgap from 0.

TiZrMoC coatings were deposited on Si(100) substrates using a DC dual magnetron sputtering. The composition was controlled by adjusting the sputtering parameters of the TiZrMo and graphite targets. The influence of graphite target current on the resulting coating properties was explored.

Multipactor, a vacuum discharge under microwave conditions triggered by secondary electron emission (SEE), plays a critical role in managing the power level of microwave devices. In this study, we developed a fluorocarbon-titanium composite film on aluminum by cosputtering polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and titanium via a controlled temperature and sputtering power ratio (RF power for PTFE to DC power for Ti) to suppress the SEE of Al. The evolution of microtopography and chemical composition of the composite film was evaluated.
