We studied the effect of reprogrammed CD8 T cells (rT cells) from the bone marrow of intact mice on tumor cells and neovasculogenesis in mice with orthotopic Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC). Reprogramming of T cells was carried out using a MEK inhibitor and a PD-1 blocker; the targeting of rT cells to tumor cells was achieved by preincubation with LLC cell lysate. It was shown that the antitumor effect of rT cells was based on apoptosis of tumor cells. In addition, cell therapy reduced the number of endothelial cells (CD45CD309) and angiogenic cell precursors (CD45CD117CD309), mesenchymal stem cells (CD45CD31CD34CD44), myeloid (CD45CD34CD31) and non-myeloid (CD45CD34CD31) fibrocytes, and leukocytes (CD45) in the lungs and increased their number in the blood. Thus, rT cells impaired the recruitment of neovasculogenic cells to the lung. The antitumor effects of rT cells are superior to those of naive CD8 T cells. The proposed reprogramming method can be useful in developing effective approaches to the therapy of lung cancer, as it allows obtaining cytotoxic rT cells capable of reducing the activity of neovasculogenesis.

Background: COVID-19 mRNA vaccines have demonstrated 95 % efficacy in the general population. However, their immunogenicity in adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), who exhibit weaken immune responses, remains insufficiently explored.

Methods: Longitudinal analysis of innate immune responses following PRR-agonists and BNT162b2 vaccine stimulations, along with S-specific antibody responses, memory T cell recall responses, and RNA-sequencing were assessed in eight T1D adolescents and 16 healthy controls at six different timepoints.

DNA replication ensures the precise transmission of genetic information from parent to daughter cells. In eukaryotes, this process involves the replication of every base pair within a highly complex chromatin environment, encompassing multiple levels of chromatin structure and various chromatin metabolic processes. Recent evidence has demonstrated that DNA replication is strictly regulated in both temporal and spatial dimensions by factors such as 3D genome structure and transcription, which is crucial for maintaining genomic stability in each cell cycle.

Cellular senescence is a cell state triggered by programmed physiological processes or cellular stress responses. Stress-induced senescent cells often acquire pathogenic traits, including a toxic secretome and resistance to apoptosis. When pathogenic senescent cells form faster than they are cleared by the immune system, they accumulate in tissues throughout the body and contribute to age-related diseases, including neurodegeneration.

Hippocampal place cells that encode the spatial location of an individual during navigation are widely reported in rodents. However, studies in primates have instead reported hippocampal cells that encode views of the environment. Evolutionary adaptations for navigating during night and day may explain the divergence of hippocampal representations between species.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the effect of implantation of fresh human amniotic membranes (HAM) on bone consolidation during distraction bone lengthening.

Methods: Ten New Zealand white rabbits were used in this study. For each rabbit, we performed a diaphyseal tibial osteotomy after installing a single-plane distraction external fixator.
