AI Article Synopsis

  • Crypt4GH-JS is a JavaScript library that enables on-the-fly encryption for web applications without significantly affecting data transfer speeds.
  • It supports secure data storage in cloud environments, addressing the growing need for flexible data security solutions.
  • The library can be installed via Node Package Manager or accessed on GitHub, and users can also test it through an online demonstration site.

Article Abstract

Motivation And Results: Crypt4GH-JS is a browser-ready implementation of the Crypt4GH file encryption standard written in JavaScript. While having minimal to no impact on data upload and download throughput this library enables on-the-fly encryption of arbitrary data in web applications, regardless of whether on the client or server side. As development moves more and more towards cloud-native applications, this library represents a significant step forward for flexible data security in the context of opaque cloud storage systems.

Availability And Implementation: Crypt4GH-JS can be installed via Node Package Manager(https://www.npmjs.com/package/crypt4gh_js) or through its public GitHub Repository (https://github.com/fathelen/crypt4ghJS), where the source code is available. Crypt4GH-JS can be tested in the browser using our demonstration website, which can be found at: https://fathelen.github.io/crypt4ghJS/.

Supplementary Information: Supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online.

Stereo-EEG is not just a diagnostic examination but a complex methodology, requiring an accurate synthesis of many data (anatomical, clinical, neurophysiological, cognitive, metabolic, and genetic). The implantation scheme is decided based on a hypothesis (or hypotheses) of epileptogenic zone localization. Subsequently, intracerebral electrical stimulation is used to define the extent of highly functional cortical regions and to reproduce the clinical symptoms and signs associated with seizures.

Processed and ultra-processed foods are associated with depression and anxiety symptoms in a cross-sectional sample of urban Lebanese adults.

While low dietary quality has been linked to poor mental health, evidence on more direct relations of specific dietary quality indicators, namely degrees of food processing, with mental health disorders remains limited. This study aims to investigate the association between food groups' intakes, defined based on their degree of food processing, with depression and anxiety symptoms in a sample of Lebanese adults. We hypothesized that higher intakes of ultra-processed foods (UPF) will be related to higher risk of depression and anxiety while an opposite association will be observed for unprocessed or minimally processed foods (MPF).

Objective: Therapeutic interventions for epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) have increased greatly over the last decade but improvements outside of biomarker selected therapies have been limited. There remains a pressing need for more effective treatment options that can prolong survival and enhance the quality of life of patients with EOC. In contrast to the significant benefits of immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors (CPI) seen in many solid tumors, initial experience in EOC suggests limited efficacy of CPIs monotherapy.

Background: West Nile virus (WNV), although underdiagnosed, is the most common mosquito-borne disease and the second most common cause of viral encephalitis in the United States. Fewer than 1% of those infected develop neuroinvasive disease.

Methods: We present a cluster of 3 cases of neuroinvasive WNV that occurred between August and September 2023 and a review of the literature for neurologic involvement with this virus.
