The nonparametric sampling method is generic and can sample times to an event from any discrete (or discretizable) hazard without requiring any parametric assumption. The method is showcased with 5 commonly used distributions in discrete-event simulation models. The method produced very similar expected times to events, as well as their probability distribution, compared with analytical results. We provide a multivariate categorical sampling function for R and Python programming languages to sample times to events from processes with different hazards simultaneously.

Background: The COVID-19 demanded efficient and effective supply of information to the public to help reduce the rate of transmission.
Objectives: This study aims to analyse Omanis' information behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic, to help national authorities to prepare for future health crises or pandemics.
Methods: A self-administered online survey involving a structured open-ended questionnaire was conducted via the SurveyMonkey software.

Background: Large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT-4 (CG4) are proving to be valuable tools in the medical field, not only in facilitating administrative tasks, but in augmenting medical decision-making. LLMs have previously been tested for diagnostic accuracy with expert-generated questions and standardized test data. Among those studies, CG4 consistently outperformed alternative LLMs, including ChatGPT-3.

Aims: Apical Periodontitis (AP) involves complex interactions between the root canal microbiome and the host immune response, with potential risk of local and systemic inflammatory burden, however there is no evidence available regarding correlation between microbiome and inflammatory marker levels. This study aims to identify the microbiome of saliva, intracanal and blood samples in AP subjects and investigate the correlation between intracanal and blood microbiomes with serum inflammatory biomarker levels, and salivary microbiomes with salivary inflammatory biomarker levels.
Methodology: Saliva, Intracanal and blood samples were collected from AP patients undergoing root canal retreatment.

Background: Mental health problems among adolescents are increasing, and internet-delivered acceptance and commitment therapy (iACT) constitutes a possible way to improve access to care while reducing costs. Nevertheless, few studies have investigated iACT for adolescents in regular primary care nor the role of parental support.
Objective: This is an exploratory evaluation investigating iACT, with or without parental support, for adolescents.
