Purpose: To report OCTA (Optical coherence tomography angiography) characteristics of bilateral MacTel type 1 with capillary obliteration.
Method: Colour fundus photo (CFP), OCT angiography (OCTA), Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), Fundus autofluorescence (FAF).
Result: We describe three cases of bilateral MacTel Type 1 with a special emphasis on OCTA characteristics.
Conclusion: OCTA is a non-invasive method to detect capillary telangiectasia and abnormal vascular tortuosity in the superficial capillary plexus and deep capillary plexus. OCT angiography demonstrates that bilateral mactel type 1 may have both aneurysmal and occlusive components.

Purpose: Down syndrome (DS) is one of the most prevalent genetic diseases associated with a variety of ophthalmic disorders, including reported retinal abnormalities. Macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel 2) is a late-onset neurodegenerative retinal disease with a substantial genetic component. We hereby describe a case of a female with DS who presented with MacTel 2, and we discuss the possible pathways associating both entities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical characteristics of macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel 2) in Taiwan.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients diagnosed with MacTel 2 over a 7-year period in Changhua Christian Hospital. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and OCT angiography (OCTA) images were reviewed.

Aim: To investigate if active learning of contrast sensitivity (CS) in bilateral age-related macular degeneration (AMD) correlates better than visual acuity (VA) with vision-related quality of life (VRQoL) using factor analysis-calibrated National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire-25 (NEI VFQ-25).
Methods: Prospective cross-sectional observational study in 93 patients (186 eyes) with bilateral AMD. CS was measured in one eye at a time with the quantitative CS function (qCSF) method (Adaptive Sensory Technology).
