Previous studies have reported that chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) shows a de novo chromatin activation pattern as compared to normal B cells. Here, we explored whether the level of chromatin activation is related to the clinical behavior of CLL. We identified that in some regulatory regions, increased de novo chromatin activation is linked to clinical progression whereas, in other regions, it is associated with an indolent course.

Apigenin, a dietary flavonoid with notable anti-cancer properties, has emerged as a promising candidate for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD). While extensively studied for its ability to modulate key molecular pathways in cancers, apigenin also exerts neuroprotective effects by reducing neuroinflammation, protecting neurons from oxidative stress, and enhancing neuronal survival and synaptic plasticity. This dual functionality makes apigenin an intriguing therapeutic option for diseases like AD, where kinase dysregulation plays a central role.

Although positive coparenting, or how parents relate during childrearing, is known to support children's socioemotional development, the role of coparenting in supporting children's healthy eating and growth is poorly understood. This study examined associations between coparenting quality, the home food environment, and young children's body mass index (BMI). Cross-sectional data were obtained from 290 mothers and their 3-year-old children who participated in the Sprout study.

Neuropilin 1 (NRP1) is upregulated in various types of malignant tumors, especially non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the precise mechanisms for membrane localization and regulation are not fully understood. Observations from super-resolution microscopy have revealed that NRP1 tends to form nanoscale clusters on the cell membrane, with these clusters varying significantly in size and density across different regions.

Ponicidin has demonstrated effectiveness against HCC by promoting mitochondria apoptosis and generating ROS through the stabilization of the Keap1-PGAM5 complex. However, ROS can exhibit both tumor-promoting and tumor-suppressing activities in cancers, and exhibit different effects depending on its source-mtROS vs non-mtROS. Additionally, since ROS from different sources possesses distinct functions, mitochondria-targeted antioxidants, and non-targeted antioxidants may have entirely different effects on cancer progression.
