Metal nanocatalysts supported on oxide scaffolds have been widely used in energy storage and conversion reactions. So far, the main research is still focused on the growth, density, size, and activity enhancement of exsolved nanoparticles (NPs). However, the lack of precise regulation of the type and composition of NPs elements under reduction conditions has restricted the architectural development of in situ exsolution systems. Herein, we propose a strategy to attain a regulated distribution of exsolved transition metals (Cu, Ni, and Fe) on SrFeNiCuMoO medium-entropy perovskite oxides by varying the oxygen partial pressure (pO) gradient in the mixture. At 800 °C, the unitary Cu, binary Cu-Ni, and ternary Cu-Ni-Fe NPs are exsolved as pO decreases from high to low. Combining experimental and theoretical simulations, we further corroborate that solid oxide electrolysis cells with ternary alloy clusters at the CNF@SFO interface exhibit superior CO electrolytic performance. Our results provide tailored strategies for nanostructures and nanointerfaces for studying metal oxide exsolution systems, including fuel electrode materials.

The developmental competence and epigenetic progression of oocytes gradually become dysregulated with increasing maternal age. However, the mechanisms underlying age-related epigenetic regulation in oocytes remain poorly understood. Zygote arrest proteins 1 and 2 (ZAR1/2) are two maternal factors with partially redundant roles in maintaining oocyte quality, mainly known by regulating mRNA stability.

Research on the high precision hydraulic column stress monitoring method.

Sci Rep

Shandong Yankuang Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Jining, 272000, China.

The hydraulic column is a core component in the coal mine support system, however, the real-time monitoring of the hydraulic column during the service process of the hydraulic support faces challenges. To address these issues, a high-precision stress mapping method of hydraulic column is proposed. The hydraulic column loss function was constructed to guide the data-driven model training, and the cylinder stress mechanism model was established by using the elastic-plastic theory of thick-walled cylinder.

Cervical cancer (CESC) presents significant clinical challenges due to its complex tumor microenvironment (TME) and varied treatment responses. This study identified undifferentiated M0 macrophages as high-risk immune cells critically involved in CESC progression. Co-culture experiments further demonstrated that M0 macrophages significantly promoted HeLa cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, underscoring their pivotal role in modulating tumor cell behavior within the TME.

Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), a prevalent perfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS), is widely present in various environmental media, animals, and even human bodies. It primarily accumulates in the liver, contributing to the disruption of hepatic metabolic homeostasis. However, the precise mechanism underlying PFOS-induced hepatic glucolipid metabolic disorders remains elusive.
