Interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) and compressive strength are two of the most critical properties of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP). In this report, three types of epoxy resins-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane epoxy resin (AG-80), bisphenol A epoxy resin (E-1NT), and novolac epoxy (EPN)-were studied. E-1NT is characterized by low viscosity and low cost but exhibits poor mechanical properties, while AG-80 offers better wetting with carbon fiber.

In tissue engineering, developing suitable printing inks for fabricating hydrogel scaffolds via 3D printing is of high importance and requires extensive investigation. Currently, gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA)-based inks have been widely used for the construction of 3D-printed hydrogel scaffolds and cell-scaffold constructs for human tissue regeneration. However, many studies have shown that GelMA inks at low polymer concentrations had poor printability, and printed structures exhibited inadequate fidelity.

The rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has created an urgent need for antibacterial materials. One of the most widespread strategies involves the covalent attachment of ionic moieties, which can, however, compromise the quality of the final polymers. Herein, we report the synthesis of ionic covalent organic framework nanoparticles via click postsynthetic modification.

Developing next generation batteries necessitates a paradigm shift in the way to engineering solutions for materials challenges. In comparison to traditional organic liquid batteries, all-solid-state batteries exhibit some significant advantages such as high safety and energy density, yet solid electrolytes face challenges in responding dimensional changes of electrodes driven by mass transport. Herein, the critical mechanical parameters affecting battery cycling duration are evaluated based on Spearman rank correlation coefficient, decoupling them into strength, ductility, stiffness, toughness, elasticity, etc.
