Characteristics of latex suspensions are studied in order to estimate their potential metrologic application. The study is carried out on the set "Magiscan 2" with the standard programs. Histograms for distribution of perimeters and particle diameters are determined, and the correlation between them is specified. Also presented are the histograms for distributing optical particle density. The correlation between optical parameters and the geometry of particles is found as well as the orientation and correlation between the optical density of particles and their location on the microscopic stage.

The coagulation of fresh latex is one of the critical processes that impacts rubber quality during natural rubber processing. Constitutive relationships are the basis for the study of the mechanical properties of rubber materials and serve as a prerequisite for material simulation studies. However, studies on the effect of different coagulation methods on natural rubber constitutive relationships have yet to be carried out, and the current models used for natural rubber constitutive relationships need to be improved.

Composites derived from plant fibers are promising reinforcing materials for engineering because of their renewable and easily available characteristics. In this study, a simple pretreatment method was developed to fabricate structurally intact bamboo cellulose scaffolds. Water-stable, flexible, impact-resistant, and high damping ratio bamboo-based rubber composites were synthesized using carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex-impregnated 3D bamboo scaffolds.

The anti-polyelectrolyte effect, a characteristic unique to polymer chains containing zwitterions, was investigated for its impact on colloidal stabilization during emulsion polymerization and on the resulting polymer characteristics. The zwitterionic monomer (ZM) 3-[(3-Acrylamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]propane-1-sulfonate (A3361) was selected for the synthesis of 30 wt% emulsifier-free methyl methacrylate/n-butyl acrylate (MMA/n-BA) polymer latex. Three pH conditions were examined: neutral, where the zwitterionic chains are in a collapsed state, and acidic and basic, where these chains adopt an extended conformation, leading to the anti-polyelectrolyte effect.
