The clogging performance of single-winged labyrinth drip irrigation tapes is influenced by a variety of factors during the muddy fertilizer water irrigation process. In this paper, we designed a uniform orthogonal test to study the effects of fertilizer concentration, sediment content and working pressure on the clogging of single-wing labyrinth drip irrigation tapes. The observed data from the experiment were analysed and calculated using range analysis, variance analysis, and main-effect multiple comparison analysis, then the optimal working conditions were determined. The results of the study showed that fertilizer concentration and sediment content had a significant effect on the average relative flow, and the degree of influence of each influencing factor on the average relative flow was as follows: sediment content > fertilizer concentration > working pressure. The average relative flow of water-fertilizer-integrated irrigation under muddy-water conditions decreased with the increasing of irrigation frequency, and accelerate the clogging of dripper. Eventually we concluded that muddy fertilizer water irrigation exacerbated the clogging of dripper. The highest average relative flows across three sediment levels occurred under the F1 treatment, measuring 0.699, 0.681, and 0.668 for type-H1, type-H2, and type-H3 tapes, respectively. The research results can provide a reference basis for the optimal design of structural parameters of single-wing labyrinth drip irrigation tape channel.

The dripper clogging due to the development of biofilm can reduce the benefits of micro-irrigation technology implementation using reclaimed wastewater. The narrow cross-section and labyrinth geometry of the dripper channel enhance the fouling mechanisms. The aim of this study was to evaluate the water distribution and biofouling of drip irrigation systems at the field scale during irrigation with treated wastewater.

Reduced fertilizer efficiency caused by excessive use of nitrogen (N) fertilizer is a major problem in agriculture and a hot topic of research. Most studies have focused on the effect of N application rate on N efficiency, whereas there are limited studies on changing the N form to improve N yield and efficiency. Here, the effects of different N application rates and nitrate-to-ammonium N ratios on post-anthesis carbon (C) and N metabolism and maize yield under shallow-buried drip irrigation were investigated.

The hydraulic performance of single-wing labyrinth drip irrigation tapes under the coupling effect of water and fertilizer affects the operating efficiency of the entire drip irrigation system. In this study, three types of single-wing labyrinth drip irrigation tapes were studied. We evaluated the average relative flow of each type and conducted indoor uniform orthogonal tests of three factors, namely, fertilizer concentration, sediment content, and operating pressure.

Drip irrigation is important for efficiently returning biogas slurry to fields. Elucidating the characteristics and components of clogging substances produced by labyrinth emitters in biogas slurry drip irrigation systems will help to develop various clogging substance-remediation strategies. However, previous studies were unable to characterize the clogging substances in emitters.
