Published: December 2024

Normal anal sensibility can be present in ARM patients diagnosed with all types of ARM after they have been treated with corrective surgery. Anal sensibility was better in those with a functional IAS. This means that the IAS, present in the distal end of the fistula, should be spared as much as possible to preserve anal sensibility. In this way, aiming to maintain the best possible fecal continence. Furthermore, the outcomes of this study demonstrate that anal sensibility is regulated by transmural nerves.

Evidential Incognizance.

Acta Anal

September 2024

In this article, I explore an epistemic vice I call "evidential incognizance." It is a vice of failing generally to recognize evidence, or recognize the full force of evidence, in a domain of knowledge. It frequently manifests as a kind of unbridled skepticism or hopelessness about knowing in the domain, including (but not limited to) skepticism about expert testimony.

The exploitation of small molecules as fluorescence sensors represents a minimalistic solution toward the sensing of hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Compared with the conventional aggregation-induced emitting sensors, the carborane (Cb)-based sensors have exhibited multiple advantages and improved quantitative fluorescence (QF) sensing abilities toward the gaseous VOCs. However, in the current Cb-based sensors, the localization of a single responsive site toward VOCs remains less focused, which results in a bias in the trace detection and short-range testing windows.

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) longitudinal rotating frame relaxation time (T), rarely used in low-field NMR, can be more effective than conventional T and T relaxation times to differentiate polymorphic forms of solid pharmaceuticals. This could be attributed to T sensibility to structural and molecular dynamics that can be enhanced by changing the strength of the oscillating magnetic field () of spinlock pulses. Here, we compared the capacity of T, T, and T to differentiate inactive (A) and active (C) crystalline forms of the World Health Organization essential drug Mebendazole.
