In this study, based on the results of molecular analysis of SSU rRNA and rbcL sequences, we propose the descriptions of two new families in the order Cymbellales. Molecular data demonstrates that diatoms of the genus Encyonema constitute an independent monophyletic clade, which represents a new family described herein - Encyonemataceae fam. nov. Another family introduced in this article, with regards to molecular data, is Witkowskiaceae fam. nov. In our research, it is comprised of three closely related genera - Geissleria, Paraplaconeis and Witkowskia. The results of performed molecular investigation are supported by morphological analysis. Morphological diagnoses of the new families are based on a combination of features: type of valve symmetry, raphe structure, presence and position of stigmata or stigmoids, number and location of apical pore fields and morphology of chloroplast. In addition, we discuss the phylogeny of selected genera of the order Cymbellales. Based on their morphology, 3 and 5 genera are assigned with provisionary position in Encyonemataceae fam. nov. and Witkowskiaceae fam. nov., respectively.

A second aim tested whether increased time in child care averaged from 6-36 months moderated such relations. Results indicated that maternal literacy was significantly positively related to academic outcomes ( = .

Four novel halophilic archaeal strains CGA53, CG83, FCH27, and SEDH24 were isolated from a soda lake and two saline lakes in China, respectively. Strain CGA53 showed the highest 16S rRNA gene similarity (92.6%) to Salinilacihabitans rarus AD-4, and the other three strains were found to be related to Halalkalicoccus species with similarities of 97.

Purpose Of Review: Food as Medicine (FAM) and supplemental nutrition programs like supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP), women, infants, and children (WIC), and school meals aim to combat rising diet-related chronic diseases and healthcare costs by addressing poor diet and food insecurity. However, their effectiveness is limited by a lack of community integration in planning, implementation, and evaluation. We introduce the Food Access, Justice, and Sovereignty (FAJS) framework, which expands FAM efforts to address acute food disparity through community-based strategies grounded in justice and sovereignty.

Piglet diarrhea poses significant economic losses to the pig industry, posing a worldwide challenge that urgently needs to be addressed in pig breeding practices. Porcine rotavirus (PoRV) is an important viral diarrhea pathogen in piglets, with a high incidence rate and a tendency to cause growth retardation. To enhance the sensitivity and specificity of PoRV detection, we sequenced the NSP3 gene of G5 and G9 genotypes of rotavirus A (RVA), enabling simultaneous detection of the two serotypes.
