In the vibrant linguistic landscape of Bengali, spoken by millions in Bangladesh and India, the gap between saintly and common terms is culturally and computationally significant. Recognising this, we introduce BanglaBlend, a pioneering dataset created to capture these stylistic distinctions. BanglaBlend comes with 7350 annotated sentences, 3675 in saintly form and 3675 in common form, covering a crucial need in natural language processing (NLP) resources for Bangla.

Purpose: The spot size of scanned particle beams is of crucial importance for the correct dose delivery and, therefore, plays a significant role in the quality assurance (QA) of pencil beam scanning ion beam therapy.

Materials And Methods: This study compares 5 detector types-radiochromic film, ionization chamber (IC) array, flat panel detector, multiwire chamber, and IC-for measuring the spot size of proton and carbon ion beams.

Results: Variations of up to 30% were found between detectors, underscoring the impact of detector choice on QA outcomes.

Evaluating the effect of denoising submillimeter auditory fMRI data with NORDIC.

Imaging Neurosci (Camb)

Department of Cognitive Neuroscience, Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht University, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has emerged as an essential tool for exploring human brain function. Submillimeter fMRI, in particular, has emerged as a tool to study mesoscopic computations. The inherently low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at submillimeter resolutions warrants the use of denoising approaches tailored at reducing thermal noise-the dominant contributing noise component in high-resolution fMRI.

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the effect after the application of Failure Model and Effect Analysis (FMEA) in nursing care for patients who have undergone endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Methods: A cohort of 40 patients who underwent ESD between July and September 2023 were selected as the control group, while 42 patients who underwent ESD between October 2023 and June 2024 after implementing FMEA were selected as the observation group. A multidisciplinary team was established based on the FMEA model to analyze and create a nursing flowchart.
