Background: Developing caring behaviors in nursing students is crucial for improving patient care quality. Despite the variety of pedagogical approaches employed to cultivate these behaviors, their comparative effectiveness remains underexplored.
Aim: This review systematically examined various pedagogical approaches used to foster caring behaviors among nursing students and evaluated their outcomes.
Design: This study employed a scoping review design.
Methods: A comprehensive search across five databases-PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science, and ERIC-was conducted for studies published from January 2000 to the present. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines were followed in reporting the findings.
Results: A total of 22 studies were included in the review. The review identified four primary pedagogical approaches: (1) simulated interactive learning, (2) caring-centered educational programs/courses, and (3) immersion/service learning. All approaches demonstrated positive outcomes in enhancing students' caring behaviors.
Conclusion: Employing a diverse range of pedagogical approaches, aligned with experiential, cognitive, and behavioral learning theories, significantly enhances the development of caring behaviors in nursing students. However, the review highlighted the need for more rigorous study designs to further validate these findings.
Implications For Nurse Education: Nurse faculty should incorporate a variety of pedagogical approaches into nursing education to address different learning needs and enhance the development of caring behaviors. Future research should focus on evaluating the effectiveness of these approaches and their long-term impact on nursing practice.

The Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) model can be used to explore how faculty prioritize learning about and adopting new pedagogical approaches. Here, we use the DOI framework to contextualize biology faculty perceptions of a professional development (PD) program designed to help them create a full semester course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) class at a large, public comprehensive university. PD sessions included exploring self-reflexive identity while fostering inclusive classroom spaces through understanding and interrupting implicit bias and microaggressions.

The energy positions and wave function shapes of the ground and excited states of impurities, including resonance states, are studied using the expansion of the impurity wave function in basis functions. The structures under study are rectangular GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells with four different widths. In all cases, the impurity binding energy (relative to the corresponding sub-band) has a maximum at or near the center of the quantum well, decreases as the heterointerface is approached, and apparently has a limit of 0 if the impurity moves deeper into the barrier.

Objectives: Within paramedic education immersive simulation is widely used to teach technical skills, but its application to non-technical aspects of practice, such as research skills, is limited. This study aimed to explore immersive simulation as a tool to teach specific research skills to paramedic students in higher education to investigate its novel capacity beyond the more traditionally considered technical elements of practice.
Methods: A didactic pre-briefing was delivered to undergraduate paramedic students before they undertook an immersive simulation in which they were expected to assess, extricate, and treat a stroke patient, whilst also assessing whether he was suitable to be enrolled onto a clinical trial, provide information on this, and take consent.
