Objective: The investigators compared neuropsychiatric symptoms among COVID-19 patients at hospital admission and at discharge.
Methods: Clinical data on neuropsychiatric syndromes were prospectively collected from 103 COVID-19 patients at admission and immediately before discharge. Clinical evaluations and serum biomarkers were analyzed to assess their relationship with neuropsychiatric symptoms and patient survival.

Chronic pain and depression exhibit a high comorbidity, are challenging to manage, and their pathophysiology mechanisms are intricated and closely related to the up-regulation of pro-inflammatory response and oxidative stress. Chronic pain and depression often coexist and present significant management challenges. Their underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are complex and closely linked to the up-regulation of pro-inflammatory responses and oxidative stress.

Depression and coronary heart disease (CHD) are two interconnected diseases that profoundly impact global health. Depression is both a complex psychiatric disorder and an established risk factor for CHD. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) is an enzyme that requires the cofactor nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) to perform its deacetylation function, and its involvement is crucial in reducing cardiovascular risks that are associated with depression.

Background: Subjects with metabolic syndrome and obesity have higher levels of inflammation with depression of the vitamin D (VD) hydroxylase/metabolising genes () required to convert VD consumed in the diet into 25(OH)VD. Compared with total 25(OH)VD levels, measurement of bioavailable 25(OH)VD is a better method to determine the beneficial effect of VD.
Objective: This study investigates whether cosupplementation with VD and L-cysteine (LC), which downregulates inflammation and upregulates VD-regulating genes, provides a better therapeutic benefit than supplementation with VD-alone in African Americans (AA).

Objective: Depression is a mental disorder that significantly impairs both physical and mental health. Recent studies have shown that reactive astrogliosis have gained significant attention for their involvement in the pathophysiology of depression. However, there is no bibliometric analysis in this research field.
