The functions of graphene have garnered significant attention in recent research. A profound understanding of the principles of temperature-dependent electromagnetic responses is crucial for guiding the design of advanced functional materials and devices. From this perspective, the thermally tailored mechanisms of polarization genes and conduction genes are emphasized. The synergistic effect between thermally tailored polarization relaxation and charge transport behaviors is revealed. More importantly, microwave absorption, electromagnetic shielding, and temperature sensing at elevated temperatures are discussed by customizing the conduction and polarization genes. The tunable variable-temperature electromagnetic performance enables the possibilities of diversified electromagnetic energy conversion. Three electromagnetic energy conversion devices for consuming waste electromagnetic energy are predicted, which can support the next generation of energy management and smart devices and promote efficient utilization of resources and sustainable development.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) show great promise for microwave absorption (MA) due to their excellent electrical conductivity and lightweight properties, which are conferred by the one dimensional hollow tubular structure. However, the ambiguous intrinsic motivations behind the formation of CNTs and the intricate growth processes have resulted in a lack of a systematic methodology for precisely controlling their electromagnetic properties. Herein, a flexible CNTs regulation strategy is designed to develop, with the core focus being the directional growth of carbon atoms and the differential catalysis of metal sources.

One of the biggest challenges in food packaging is the creation of sustainable and eco-friendly packaging materials to shield foods from ultraviolet (UV) photochemical damage and to preserve the distinctive physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of foods throughout the supply chain. Accordingly, this study focuses on enhancing the UV shielding properties and biological activity of carboxylmethyl cellulose sodium (CMC) through modifications using zinc oxide (ZnO), copper oxide (CuO), and graphene oxide (GO) using the solution casting technique. The hybrid nanocomposites were characterized by fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and x-ray diffraction (XRD).

We present a model for the noise and inherent stochasticity of fluorescence signals in both continuous wave (CW) and time-gated (TG) conditions. When the fluorophores are subjected to an arbitrary excitation photon flux, we apply the model and compute the evolution of the probability mass function (pmf) for each quantum state comprising a fluorophore's electronic structure, and hence the dynamics of the resulting emission photon flux. Both the ensemble and stochastic models presented in this work have been verified using Monte Carlo molecular dynamic simulations that utilize the Gillespie algorithm.
