Objective: Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the dynamics of histoarchitectural changes in the bone-ceramic regenerate after transplantation β-tricalcium phosphate into an experimental defect in the rabbit mandible.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Adult male rabbits aged 6-7 months and weighing 2.5-3 kg were used for the study. The control group consisted of animals with a bone defect that healed under a blood clot. The experimental group consisted of rabbits in which the bone defect was filled with β-tricalcium phosphate. Post-traumatic monitoring was conducted over 84 days using scanning electron microscopy and morphometric analysis of three parameters of the regenerate.
Results: Results: Studying the surface relief characteristics of the experimental bone defect in the lower jaw after implantation of the β-tricalcium phosphate material revealed numerous regenerative changes that occurred after the injury and correlated with the dynamics of changes in the relative volume of bone tissue, osteoplastic material, and connective tissue in the regenerate. Morphometric analysis of the regenerate showed a phased character of the dynamics of changes.
Conclusion: Conclusions: The study found that the relative volume of bone tissue in the regenerate increased over time, and at the end of the experiment, it was statistically similar to the control group.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a malignant and life-threatening tumor with an extremely poor prognosis, posing a significant global health challenge. Despite the continuous emergence of novel therapeutic agents, patients exhibit substantial heterogeneity in their responses to anti-tumor drugs and overall prognosis. The pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) is highly activated in various tumor cells and plays a pivotal role in tumor metabolic reprogramming.

Understanding the molecular mechanisms of abiotic stress responses in plants is instrumental for the development of climate-resilient crops. Key factors in abiotic stress responses, such as the proton- pumping pyrophosphatase (AVP1), have been identified, but their function and regulation remain elusive. Here, we explored the post-translational regulation of AVP1 by the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme UBC34 and its relevance in the salt stress and phosphate starvation responses of Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana).

: High-volume online hemodiafiltration (OL-HDF) has proven to be the most efficient dialysis modality and to offer better clinical outcomes in patients on hemodialysis. Longer and more frequent dialysis sessions have demonstrated clinical and survival benefits. : A single-center observational study of the first one hundred patients on nocturnal every-other-day OL-HDF was conducted with the aim of reporting the experience with this treatment schedule and evaluating analytical and clinical outcomes as well as the patient and technique survival.

Aortic valve calcification results from degenerative processes associated with several pathologies. These processes are influenced by age, chronic inflammation, and high concentrations of phosphate ions in the plasma, which contribute to induce mineralization in the aortic valve and deterioration of cardiovascular health. Environmental factors, such as wood smoke that emits harmful and carcinogenic pollutants, carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxide (NO), as well as other reactive compounds may also be implicated.

: The study exploited, for the first time, Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform-InfraRed (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy on human dental pulps at different timings of root resorption (RR) to deepen the biological mechanisms occurring in deciduous teeth (De) during their replacement with permanent ones. : N:36 dental pulps from sound De were divided into the following: G0 (no RR); G1 (RR less than 1/3 of root length); G2 (RR not exceeding 2/3 of root length); and G3 (RR more than 2/3 of root length). Samples were analyzed by ATR-FTIR, and the spectral data were submitted to univariate (One-way ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison tests; statistical significance set at < 0.
