Multidimensional variables linked to repetitive behavior, hyperactivity, and mood dysregulation are correlated with the prevalence and severity of self-injurious behavior (SIB) in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The purpose of this exploratory study was to examine differences in Aberrant Behavior Checklist (ABC) subscales between individuals with socially maintained SIB and automatically maintained SIB (ASIB). Overall, there were not significant differences in ABC subscale elevations between the SIB and ASIB groups. However, when ASIB was stratified into distinct subtypes, notable differences in subscale elevations were observed. Our results indicate the ABC may have utility for further characterizing the neurobehavioral divergence among individuals with IDD who engage in self-injury.

Introduction: In contemporary clinical settings, three-dimensional (3D) models have become an integral component of daily practice. Photogrammetry, a novel method in clinical practice, enables the creation of precise 3D models from small objects while maintaining their original shape and size.

Aim:  To evaluate the accuracy and reliability of digital models (DM) generated using photogrammetry techniques compared to traditional gypsum models (GM) and to investigate the feasibility of utilizing free software for processing and manipulating digital dental models.

The research study objective seeks to improve the efficiency of wind turbines using state-of-the-art techniques in the domain of ML, making wind energy the key player in fashioning a favorable future. Wind Turbine Health Monitoring (WTHM) is typically achieved through either vibration analysis or by using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) data of wind turbines, wherein conventional fault pattern identification is a time-consuming, guesswork process. This work proposed an intelligent automated approach to early fault detection through the implementation of the HARO (Huber Adam Regression Optimizer) model, which combines Transformer networks with Lasso Regression and the Adam optimizer.

Background: Visuospatial problems are one of the possible signs of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Notably, various studies on eye movement in static image searches reveal that individuals with dementia fixate on fewer Areas of Interest (AoIs) for a significantly shorter duration than normal controls (CTLs). Building on prior works on speech and eye movement, in this study we examined word timestamps to infer each subject’s focus of attention while describing the Cookie Theft picture.

Background: The prevalence of cognitive impairments, such as mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD), has surged, necessitating rapid, cost‐effective, and non‐invasive diagnostic tools. Speech, as a rich source of cognitive indices, offers a promising avenue for distinguishing between healthy controls, MCI, and AD groups. However, the utilization of voice data poses privacy challenges, as speaker identities can be discerned through automatic speaker verification systems.

Background: Widely used neuropsychological test instruments are notoriously biased across the demographics of age, sex/gender, education, language and culture. This includes verbal memory tests that elicit speech such as the paragraph recall or list‐learning memory tests. Language tests are similarly biased, including the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination Cookie Theft Test (CTT) that has been used to elicit both written and spoken responses for decades.
