We investigate the evidence for adverse effects of intraparenchymal and peritumoral application of isosulfan blue dye in sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping in breast cancer patients. A meta-analysis on the adverse effects of intraparenchymal and peritumoral application of isosulfan application in SLN mapping was conducted using Medline and Embase databases up to 2023. Procedure-based adverse reactions were divided into three grades: Grade I (allergic skin reactions), Grade II (hypotension) and Grade III (requiring vasopressor support).

Chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and DNA damage are observed in schistosomiasis and premature aging. However, the potential of these events to trigger stress-induced premature senescence (SIPS) throughout schistosomiasis progression remains overlooked, especially in response to the first-line pharmacological treatment. Thus, we investigated the relationship between oxidative stress and SIPS sentinel markers in untreated Schistosoma mansoni-infected mice and those receiving praziquantel (Pz)-based reference treatment.

Background: Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) using radioisotope tracer plus blue dye is the gold standard after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in initially cN1 breast cancer patients, but clinical use still has limitations. This study aims to examine diagnostic performance of dual indocyanine green (ICG) and methylene blue tracing for SLNB in patients who have completed NAC for breast cancer with initially cN1 disease.
Methods: Adult women (20-80 years of age) scheduled to undergo NAC for biopsy-proven cT0-3N1M0 primary invasive breast cancer were consecutively enrolled in this prospective, multicenter, cohort study.

The African swine fever (ASF) epidemic has severely challenged the Philippines' swine industry since 2019. The National African Swine Fever Prevention and Control Program (NASFPCP), launched in 2021, aims to provide guidance for managing ASF through surveillance, monitoring, and swine repopulation. This study evaluates the effectiveness of post-outbreak disinfection protocols and government-mandated measures for repopulation standard.

Background And Importance: Effective and safe procedural sedation is pivotal for the quality of care in the emergency department (ED).
Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness, and safety procedural sedation performed by emergency physicians in the ED setting in Italy.
Design/setting And Participants/intervention: Following a specific training of the staff and with the adoption of a standardized protocol, a registry of procedural sedations performed on adult patients in 10 Italian EDs was compiled from 2019 to 2022; the following basic data were recorded: demographic and clinical information, procedure's indication, administered drugs, predefined, and actual sedation level.
