Rubbers prepared from technical poly(butadiene) and natural poly(isoprene) are studied by field-cycling (FC) H NMR relaxometry to elucidate the changes of the relaxation spectrum. Starting with the non-cross-linked polymer successively cross-links are introduced via sulfur or peroxide vulcanization. Applying an advanced home-built relaxometer allows one to probe entanglement dynamics in addition to Rouse dynamics.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) hold considerable promise for environmental remediation owing to their exceptional performance and distinctive structure. Nonetheless, the practical implementation of MOFs encounters persistent technical hurdles, notably susceptibility to loss, challenging recovery, and potential environmental toxicity arising from the fragility, insolubility, and poor processability of MOFs. MOF-based three-dimensional macrostructures (3DMs) inherit the advantageous attributes of the original MOFs, such as ultra-high specific surface area, tunable pore size, and customizable structure, while also incorporating the intriguing characteristics of bulk materials, including hierarchical structure, facile manipulation, and structural flexibility.

The emergence of multidrug-resistant microbial strains poses a significant challenge to global public health. In response, researchers have been exploring innovative antimicrobial agents with enhanced efficacy and novel mechanisms of action. One promising approach involves the synthesis of hybrid molecules combining azetidinone and azole moieties, capitalizing on the respective antimicrobial properties of both structural elements.

Background: Increased mortality in rural southern areas has persisted and worsened among older Black adults due to high prevalence of chronic conditions combined with limited healthcare access resulting from social and structural factors.
Objective: Our objective was to examine the relationship between general health perceptions, social functioning, mental health, and demographic characteristics among Black adults living in the rural south.
Methods: This cross-sectional study examined health perceptions in older Black Americans residing in four rural towns within Alabama (Clayton, Fort Deposit, Hobson City, and York).

Background: Amyloid β (Aβ) deposition in the brain is a pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD). While immunoprecipitation‐mass spectrometry (IP‐MS) stands out as an accurate method for quantifying blood‐based Aβ peptides, its major limitations such as prolonged sample preparation, extensive analysis time, large specimen volume, and high costs, present opportunities for improvement. Consequently, we aimed to develop a novel plasma IP‐MS Aβ assay that employs simplified and significantly shorter analytical procedures, along with much‐reduced sample volumes.
