Understanding kinase action requires precise quantitative measurements of their activity . In addition, the ability to capture spatial information of kinase activity is crucial to deconvolute complex signaling networks, interrogate multifaceted kinase actions, and assess drug effects or genetic perturbations. Here we developed a proteomic kinase activity sensor platform (ProKAS) for the analysis of kinase signaling using mass spectrometry.

Iontronic sensors based on confined space have garnered significant attention due to their promising applications, ranging from single-cell analysis to studies. However, their limited sensitivity has constrained their effectiveness in studying molecular information during physiological and pathological processes. Here, we demonstrate an electrolyte-gated ionic transistor (EGIT) by integrating the confined ion transport behavior in a double-barreled micropipet with an electrolyte-gated transistor configuration, achieving highly sensitive and selective sensing.

The American Transplant Congress (ATC) 2024, held in Philadelphia, serves as a vital platform for unveiling new research and clinical experience in organ machine perfusion-a key area in organ transplantation. This year's congress gathered 4652 participants from 49 countries, including top experts, to spotlight innovations in machine perfusion across various organ types, such as the liver, kidney, heart, and lung. A total of 87 abstracts on organ machine perfusion were presented.

With current treatments addressing only a fraction of pathogens and new viral threats constantly evolving, there is a critical need to expand our existing therapeutic arsenal. To speed the rate of discovery and better prepare against future threats, we establish a high-throughput platform capable of screening compounds against 40 diverse viral proteases simultaneously. This multiplex approach is enabled by using cellular biosensors of viral protease activity combined with DNA-barcoding technology, as well as several design innovations that increase assay sensitivity and correct for plate-to-plate variation.
