Background: South-South Cooperation (SSC) is recognized as a vital component of goal 17 - 'Partnerships for the goals' within the SDGs and countries in the global south has been utilizing this cooperation mainly in research. We report the first health care professional exchange program through this south-to-south collaboration focusing on advancing quality of abortion care in the Sub-Saharan region.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive mixed method study, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative approaches, to assess the impact of health care professionals' exchange program within the obstetrics and gynecology departments of two teaching institutions in Ethiopia and Rwanda over the course of a year (February 1, 2023-January 31,2024).

Indigenous communities worldwide continue to disproportionately bear the burden during pandemics due to ongoing health inequities and systemic exclusion from pandemic decision-making processes. As the global community prepares for the next pandemic, it is critical to prioritise Indigenous leadership and governance within public health responses. This commentary highlights successful models of Indigenous-led pandemic responses during COVID-19 in Canada and Australia.

The proliferation of unlicensed aesthetic medical (UAE) practices in China's plastic surgery industry highlights a pressing global concern, amplified by the growing "beauty economy." Social media platforms perpetuate unattainable beauty standards through edited images and curated pre- and post-operative photos, fueling demand for aesthetic treatments and exacerbating body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). Vulnerable individuals targeted by manipulative advertising often fall victim to unsafe UAE services.

The pursuit of aesthetically pleasing shoulder contours, particularly those characterised by a sharp, angular definition, has gained significant traction in Southeast Asia. Traditionally, neuromodulators have been used to achieve these results by inducing muscle atrophy, particularly in the trapezius muscles. However, this approach can carry potential risks, such as compromised muscle function and spinal instability.
