Aspiration of the synovial joints is an important part of the diagnostic and therapeutic armamentarium of the physician and may provide vital information that can be obtained in no other way. As with any other technique in medicine, skill and safety in the aspiration of joints can be acquired only through careful study and continued practice in arthrocentesis. When appropriate preparations and precautions are observed, obtaining fluid from synovial joints is safe, relatively pain free, inexpensive, and extremely beneficial to the patient.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative bone disease characterized by the destruction of joint cartilage and synovial inflammation, involving intricate immune regulation processes. Disulfidptosis, a novel form of programmed cell death, has recently been identified; however, the effects and roles of disulfidptosis-related genes (DR-DEGs) in OA remain unclear. We obtained six OA datasets from the GEO database, using four as training sets and two as validation sets.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic autoimmune disease that primarily affects the joints, leading to synovial inflammation and hyperplasia, which subsequently causes joint pain, swelling, and damage. The microenvironment of RA is characterized by hypoxia, high reactive oxygen species (ROS), low pH, and levels of high inflammatory factors. Traditional treatments only partially alleviate symptoms and often cause various adverse reactions with long-term use.

Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between preoperative whole-joint imaging evaluation of the knee with patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures after cartilage restoration surgery (mosaicplasty, osteochondral allograft transplantation, matrix autologous chondrocyte implantation).
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated patients who underwent knee articular cartilage restoration at our institution from 2014 to 2020. The patients' knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was evaluated with the Whole-Organ Magnetic Resonance Imaging Score (WORMS) and semiquantitative synovial inflammation imaging biomarkers of the preoperative MRI.

Flurbiprofen (FBP) is poorly water-soluble BCS class II drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, used to treat arthritis and degenerative joint diseases. This study was aimed to develop SNEDDS loaded with FBP. Six SNEDDS using two oils olive oil (F, F, F) and castor oil (F, F, F) with three different Smix ratios consisting of Tween 20 and PEG 400 (1:1, 1:2, 2:1) were prepared and characterized.
