Objective: This study aimed to improve the surgical anatomical knowledge of pelvic/acetabular trauma surgeons by providing detailed morphometric data on some of the most vulnerable arteries and nerves due to constant bony landmarks during anterior intra-pelvic approach fixation of acetabular fractures in women.
Methods: Ten hemipelvis were dissected from 5 female cadavers. The following measurements relative to the symphysis were performed: (1) the distance of the corona mortis anastomosis and (2) the bisection of the external iliac vein with the pubic ramus.

Pelvic ring injuries are uncommon but serious injuries. Percutaneous sacro-iliac screw fixation (SSF) is the standard treatment for posterior stabilization of pelvic fractures. Compression forces of the SSF might cause deformity of the sacrum and the pelvic ring.

Objective: The aim of our work is to check if the use of a pre-tensed bar connected to 2 supra-acetabular Schanz pins is more stable in a pelvic with a tile C1 injury.
Material And Methods: We used synthetic pelvis (N = 5) with a unstable vertical injury, stabilized with both the standard and the pre-tensed system. They both were submitted to axial loading.

This study aims to evaluate the relation between the lumbosacral trunk (LT) and the sacro-iliac joint (SIJ). In forty anatomic specimens (hemipelves) a classical antero-lateral approach to the SIJ was performed. The SIJ was marked at the linea terminalis (reference point A).
