Ionic thermoelectric supercapacitors (ITESCs) are noted for their high ionic Seebeck coefficient (α) to convert thermal energy into electrical current through charging. This work demonstrates the utilization of the charging and discharging current from ITESCs to directly operate resistive sensors. The humidity monitoring is powered by applying a periodic temperature gradient to a connected ITESC. By leveraging these properties and residual environmental heat, ITESCs can offer a promising method for autonomously powered portable sensors.

Context: "Nanostructure of graphene-reinforced with polymethyl methacrylate" (PMMA-G), and vice versa, is investigated using its molecular structure, in the present work. The PMMA-G nanostructure was constructed by bonding PMMA with graphene nanosheet in a sense to get three different configurations. Each configuration consisted of polymeric structures with three degrees of polymerization (such as monomers, dimers, and trimers polymers, respectively).

The MCM motor of the eukaryotic replicative helicase is loaded as a double hexamer onto DNA by the Origin Recognition Complex (ORC), Cdc6, and Cdt1. ATP binding supports formation of the ORC-Cdc6-Cdt1-MCM (OCCM) helicase-recruitment complex where ORC-Cdc6 and one MCM hexamer form two juxtaposed rings around duplex DNA. ATP hydrolysis by MCM completes MCM loading but the mechanism is unknown.

Monitoring reactive nitrogen species (RNS) in complex biological media is essential for evaluating the health status of living organisms; however, biofouling on the sensor surface restricts its applications. To overcome this issue, we developed an antifouling electrochemical sensing platform using copper-platinum bimetallic nanoparticles/N-doped biomass porous carbon fibres (Cu-PtNPs/N-BCF) for directly detecting peroxynitrite anion (ONOO), a major type of RNS. Cyclic voltammetry measurements demonstrated that the Cu-PtNPs/N-BCF-2 nanocomposite, synthesised at a molar ratio of 1:1 between Co and Zn, exhibited exceptional electrocatalytic activity for ONOO oxidation.

Tellurium nanotubes (TeNT) heterojunction with Tellurium oxide (TeO) were prepared by in situ oxidation at elevated temperatures in air. The chemiresistive type NO sensor was then fabricated by depositing the synthesized TeNT/TeO on the integrated gold electrodes. The response of the TeNT/TeO based sensor to 600 ppb NO was 38.

We have successfully prepared a significant number of nanowires from non-toxic silicon sources. Compared to the SiO silicon source used in most other articles, our preparation method is much safer. It provides a simple and harmless new preparation method for the preparation of silicon nanowires.
