This case involved a 21-year-old male patient who was admitted due to having a lump behind the left ear that had been present for 2 years and had gradually increased in size for over a year. This was accompanied by palpable hard masses on the same side of the neck. Laboratory tests indicated an elevated eosinophil count, and magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the "string-of-beads" sign in the left cervical lymph nodes.

Purpose: Spastic paraplegia type 5 (SPG5) is a rare neurodegenerative disease diagnosed primarily through genetic testing.We identified a specific spinal cord sign on conventional MR imaging to help narrow the scope of genetic screening.

Methods: In 25 patients with SPG5 and 21 healthy controls (HCs), the spinal cord cross sign was evaluated on T2*-weighted imaging.

Background: Chinese cancer survivors are not doing well in returning to work. Peer support, as an external coping resource to help cancer survivors return to work, brings together members of the lay community with similar stressors or problems for mutual support. Peer volunteers have not received systematic training, so inappropriate language in the support process can often cause secondary damage to both the peer and the cancer survivor.
