Effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy on fatigue in cancer patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Front Psychol

January 2025

Research Center for Biochemistry and Nutrition in Metabolic Diseases, Institute for Basic Sciences, Kashan University of Medical Sciences, Kashan, Iran.

Background: Fatigue is a prevalent issue among cancer patients. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is an individualized intervention that empowers patients and caregivers to actively participate in the treatment process. A recent systematic review and meta-analysis examined the impact of CBT on fatigue in cancer patients.

Background: Beta-lactams remain the first-line treatment of infections despite the increasing global prevalence of penicillin-resistant/non-susceptible strains. We conducted a cross-sectional household survey in a rural community in northern Vietnam in 2018-2019 to provide prevalence estimates of penicillin non-susceptible (PNSP) carriage and to investigate behavioural and environmental factors associated with PNSP colonization. The data presented will inform the design of a large trial of population-based interventions targeting inappropriate antibiotic use.

Escalating energy demands have often ignited ground-breaking innovations in the current era of electrochemical energy storage systems. Supercapacitors (SCs) have emerged as frontrunners in this regard owing to their exclusive features such ultra-high cyclic stability, power density, and ability to be derived from sustainable sources. Despite their promising attributes, they typically fail in terms of energy density, which poses a significant hindrance to their widespread commercialization.

Chiral Recognition of Butylone by Methylated β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes: Molecular Calculations and Two-Level Factorial Designs.

The integration of molecular docking and AM1 calculations has elucidated the complexation behavior of butylone enantiomers with methylated β-cyclodextrin derivatives. Our study reveals that butylone can adopt two distinct conformations within the β-cyclodextrin cavity, with one conformation being preferentially stabilized due to its favorable binding energy. This conformation preference is influenced by the methylation at the O2, O3, and O6 positions of β-cyclodextrin, which significantly affects complex stability and solvation properties.

This study aims to integrate short-term, medium-term, and long-term Composite Leading Indices (CLIs) to establish that interconnected CLIs offer enhanced predictive capabilities compared to individual CLIs. Specifically, it investigates the relationships among CLIs to forecast Indonesia's Manufacturing Cycle (ManC) using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Building on an extensive literature review, the study employs quarterly data spanning from Q1 2010 to Q2 2022, incorporating five constructs representing key economic sectors influencing the manufacturing cycle.
