Severe esophageal strictures resulting from chemoradiotherapy pose persistent therapeutic challenges despite the availability of treatments such as endoscopic balloon dilation and medications. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has emerged as a promising treatment option for refractory radiation-induced injury to several organs. Herein, we present the case of a 79-year-old male patient with refractory radiation-induced ulcerative esophageal strictures after chemoradiotherapy.

Purpose: Fatigue is one of the most common and disabling symptoms experienced by people with inflammatory bowel disease; however, interventions to treat fatigue are limited. The purpose of this systematic review is to examine the relationship between sleep deficiency and fatigue in adults with inflammatory bowel disease and to describe the demographic and clinical factors associated with fatigue to inform future intervention work.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and reported the results using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.
Riga-Fede disease (RFD) is a rare, benign condition marked by traumatic ulceration on the tongue's ventral side in infants. It arises from friction between the tongue and lower incisors during sucking, potentially worsening into a keratinized lesion if the cause is not addressed. This report details the case of a 1-year-6-month-old male with hydrocephalus, cleft palate, corpus callosum dysgenesis, neuropsychomotor developmental delay, and tracheostomy and gastrostomy needs.

Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a very uncommon type of CD30-positive T-cell lymphoma, and it very rarely affects the forehead. We report the case of a 68-year-old male presenting with an ulcerative lesion on the right forehead, initially suspected as a benign condition. Fine needle aspiration suggested a lymphoproliferative disorder, with biopsy and immunohistochemistry confirming primary cutaneous ALCL (CD30-positive, anaplastic lymphoma kinase [ALK]-negative).

Introduction: Ulcerative colitis (UC), a form of inflammatory irritable bowel disease, is characterized by a recurrent and persistent nonspecific inflammatory response. Polydatin (PD), a natural stilbenoid polyphenol with potent properties, exhibits unexpected beneficial effects beyond its well-documented anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. In this study, we presented evidence that PD confers protection against dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis.
