Objectives: To assess the usage of chatbot generative pretrained transformer among medical and dental students in Pakistan.
Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the Army Medical College, National University of Medical Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan, from June 15 to July 31, 2023, and comprised medical and dental students in public and private medical and dental colleges of Rawalpindi and Islamabad who had used the chatbot generative pretrained transformer programme at least once for their academics or had prior knowledge of it. Responses were obtained through a structured online survey. Data was analysed using SPSS 27.
Results: Of the 315 respondents, 181(57.5%) were females, 134(42.5%) were males, 260(82.5%) were from public institutions, 55(17.5%) were from private, 259(82.20%) were medical students and 56(17.80%) were dental students. Overall, 192(61%) respondents had used ChatGPT for academics prior to the study. For them, its utility was most for case-based learning, problem-based learning and for seeking clarification of topics. Fruitful acquisition of knowledge was reported by 270(85.7%) of the study participants and 229(72.8%) participants regarded ChatGPT as a valuable resource for improving academic performance. The mean perceived usefulness score was 17.93±5.08 and the mean perceived risk score was 8.46±2.44.
Conclusions: Chatbot generative pretrained transformer was found to improve academic performance of medical and dental students.

This case report presents an atypical transverse cervical artery with its detailed anatomy, morphogenesis, and association with the high arch-shaped subclavian artery. The atypical arteries, related arteries, and adjacent cervical and brachial plexuses were macroscopically examined in a 98-year-old Japanese female cadaver donated to The Nippon Dental University for medical education and research. The atypical deep branch of the transverse cervical artery originated from the internal thoracic artery and passed through between the C5 and C6 roots, in close contact with the C5 and C6 junction, to reach the dorsal side of the brachial plexus.

Endophytes have significant prospects for applications beyond their existing utilization in agriculture and the natural sciences. They form an endosymbiotic relationship with plants by colonizing the root tissues without detrimental effects. These endophytes comprise several microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi.

Two main stages are differentiated in patients with advanced chronic liver disease (ACLD), one compensated (cACLD) with an excellent prognosis, and the other decompensated (dACLD), defined by the appearance of complications (ascites, variceal bleeding and hepatic encephalopathy) and associated with high mortality. Preventing the progression to dACLD might dramatically improve prognosis and reduce the burden of care associated with ACLD. Portal hypertension is a major driver of the transition from cACLD to dACLD, and a portal pressure of ≥10 mmHg defines clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) as the threshold from which decompensating events may occur.

Assessing parental aesthetic acceptability of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) staining is crucial for its potential implementation in paediatric dentistry in different regions. This study aimed to compare aesthetic perceptions and acceptance of SDF staining between Spanish and Italian parents, and assess weather acceptability is influenced by location, child's cooperation, or demographic background. A cross-sectional comparative study was conducted among Spanish and Italian parents at three university dental clinics, using a validated Italian version of the questionnaire "Parental perceptions of Silver Diamine Fluoride Dental Color Changes".
