However, its pathophysiology is not fully elucidated. Growing evidences have shown that fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) play a critical role in diverse aspects of liver pathophysiology.

Rhabdomyolysis involves significant skeletal muscle injury and destruction, which can be triggered by trauma, intense physical activity, heat, prolonged immobility, certain medications, and endocrine disorders. Rhabdomyolysis in renal transplants can be more complicated, and the prognosis is not well known, especially in the context of coexisting rejection. We present a case of rifampicin-induced rhabdomyolysis with superimposed acute cellular rejection in a kidney transplant patient.

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients are at a high risk of tuberculosis (TB), with a relative risk of developing active TB of 10%-25%. Similarly, glomerular disease increases the risk of TB due to diminished glomerular filtration rate, proteinuria, and immunosuppression use. Further, the first-line anti-TB drugs are associated with acute kidney injury (AKI) even in patients with normal kidney functions.

Introduction: Drug-induced liver injury is the most common cause of acute liver failure. Off-Target effect "hepatotoxicity "frequently detected during clinical examination of patients on -Tb medication particularly isoniazid (INH), and rifampin (RMP). However, there is no any treatment option against isoniazid and rifampicin induced hepatotoxicity.
