Five genera within the "Hygrogeus" complex of the Anthophagini tribe are described and illustrated, including Hygrogeus, Trichodromeus, and three new genera: Asiageodromicus, Himalodromeus, and Microhygrodromicus.
The genus Hygrogeus includes three species, primarily from the Middle European Alps and Kashmir, while Trichodromeus has 21 species across the eastern Palaearctic Region with several (re-)descriptions provided.
Notable changes include a new synonymy for Trichodromeus species and eight new combinations transitioning species from Hygrogeus to Trichodromeus based on updated classifications.
