Hypochlorous acid(HClO)/hypochlorite ion (ClO-) is a highly reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a crucial role in various biological processes. In this paper, a "turn-on" phosphorescent probe (Ir-TPP) for detecting ClO- in mitochondria was designed and synthesized.
