A new species of the Asian lanternfly genus Saiva Distant, 1906, S. constanti Jiaranaisakul sp. nov., is described from Thailand with illustrations and distribution map. Saiva virescens (Westwood, 1842) is proposed as a senior synonym of Saiva phesamensis Ollenbach, 1928 syn. nov. and Fulgora pyrrhochlora Butler, 1874 syn. nov. is now considered as junior synonym of Pyrops cultellatus (Walker, 1857).

Plasmodium malariae parasites are widely observed across the tropics and sub-tropics. This slow-growing species, known to maintain chronic asymptomatic infections, has been associated with reduced antimalarial susceptibility. We analyse 251 P.

Hypochlorous acid(HClO)/hypochlorite ion (ClO-) is a highly reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a crucial role in various biological processes. In this paper, a "turn-on" phosphorescent probe (Ir-TPP) for detecting ClO- in mitochondria was designed and synthesized. In solution, Ir-TPP is minimal emission due to rapid isomerization of C=N-OH as an efficient non-radiative decay process.

Insects represent most of terrestrial animal biodiversity, and multiple reports suggest that their populations are declining globally due to anthropogenic impacts. Yet, a high proportion of insect species remain undescribed and limited data on their population dynamics hamper insect conservation efforts. This is particularly critical in tropical biodiversity hotspots such as Southeast Asia.

Background: The hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) was caused by species of Enterovirus A and Enterovirus B in the Asian-Pacific region. Broad-spectrum monoclonal antibodies (mAb) that can bind multiple serotypes of enteroviruses have gradually become a research hotspot in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of HFMD.
Methods: In this study, a mAb 1H4 was obtained using monoclonal antibody technology by immunizing purified virus particles of Coxsackievirus A5 (CV-A5).

Background: The genus Lithocarpus is a species-rich dominant woody lineage in East Asian evergreen broad-leaved forests. Despite its ecological and economic significance, the plastome structure and evolutionary history of the genus remain poorly understood. In this study, we comprehensively analyzed the 34 plastomes representing 33 Lithocarpus species.
