The fields of Educational Neuroscience and Mind, Brain, and Education explore how neuroscience and psychology research can be applied to education practice. Prior work in these fields helped to distill and convey various learning strategies to educators, but bidirectional communication between researchers and educators is still very limited. Given the current challenges facing students and educators, such as the student mental health crisis [[1-4] and educator burnout [5-7], there is a great need for more inclusive research translation efforts. In this commentary, we are proposing that neuroeducators, be they researchers, educators, and/or other interested parties, partake in grassroots efforts to help translate and advocate for educational neuroscience-informed practices in local school districts. One well known translation structure is the professional learning community (PLC). By offering to join or form a PLC with local schools, neuroeducators can help address urgent educational needs using research-informed guidance and strategies.

Adolescence is marked by a high prevalence of mental health concerns, with approximately 14% of young individuals receiving a diagnosis of a mental illness disorder. This figure is projected to rise in the future. However, barriers such as limited access to mental health services, a shortage of mental health professionals, and the enduring stigma surrounding mental health prevent many adolescents from seeking help, potentially resulting in long-term negative outcomes.

Objective: To provide insights and strategies for pegvaliase management in challenging cases with phenylketonuria (PKU) based on the first 5 years of experience with pegvaliase in real-world clinical practice.
Methods: Twelve PKU experts gathered during a one-day, in-person meeting to discuss clinical cases illustrating important lessons from their experiences treating patients with pegvaliase in real-world clinical practice. Challenges with pegvaliase experienced prior to and during treatment and corresponding strategies to overcome them were discussed.

This study proposes a hierarchical automated methodology for detecting brain tumors in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), focusing on preprocessing images to improve quality and eliminate artifacts or noise. A modified Extreme Learning Machine is then used to diagnose brain tumors that are integrated with the Modified Sailfish optimizer to enhance its performance. The Modified Sailfish optimizer is a metaheuristic algorithm known for efficiently navigating optimization landscapes and enhancing convergence speed.
