This study aimed to improve the private doctor's role in discovering and managing cases of childhood tuberculosis (TB) according to the Directly Observed Treatment Short-course program. This quasi-experimental study with a pre-post design described 75 private doctors (intervention group) who assisted over two months in finding suspected TB children and 75 private doctors (control group). This study used descriptive quantitative data analysis. Sixty-three of the 75 doctors (84%) attended a course to assist suspected tuberculosis children with a moderate level of knowledge (60.0%). Most suspected tuberculosis children had close contact with adult tuberculosis patients (48.1%). The findings indicated that the intervention group, consisting of skilled private doctors, identified a greater number of children believed to have tuberculosis compared to the control group. There has been an increase in the identification of suspected tuberculosis children by private doctors who were through courses and the provision of routine assistance..

Background: We aimed to describe a 2-year outcome of eyes managed by practitioners benchmarked using a funnel plot by their frequency of treatment using vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitors for naive retinal vein occlusion (RVO).
Methods: A multicentre, international, observational study of 29 doctors in 12 countries managing 1110 eyes with RVO commencing VEGF inhibitors between 1 January 2012-2022 tracked in the Fight Retinal Blindness! registry.
Results: We identified 3 outlying 'intensive' practitioners (managing 350/1110 eyes [32%]), 22 'typical' practitioners (604/1110, [54%]) and 4 outlying 'relaxed' practitioners (156/1110, [14%]) with respective 24-month outcomes in Branch and Central RVO including the primary outcome, mean adjusted change in visual acuity (VA) in BRVO: +16.

With the continuous advancement of connected technology, research on developing transit signal priority strategies using vehicle-to-everything technology is gaining increasing attention. However, current traffic signal priority studies primarily focus on optimizing bus speeds on dedicated bus lanes, neglecting the adverse impacts of private vehicle queuing on priority strategies, as well as the carbon emissions resulting from speed fluctuations.

As demanding as dancing en pointe is, no universal standard exists to determine when a ballet dancer is ready to advance to this next level. The goal of this study was to provide preliminarily tested and reliable guidelines for a screening tool that can be used to determine (1) if a dancer is ready for pointe, (2) reasons why a dancer may not be ready, and (3) areas for improvement to guide training and preparation. Seventeen dancers aged 9 to 17 years with a minimum 4 years of ballet and who were either possibly ready for pointe or had been in pointe class less than 3 months participated in this study.
