Introduction: Deepbite is a vertical malocclusion found alone or in association with other types of sagittal and transverse disorders. With a high relapse tendency, deepbite is considered one of the most challenging malocclusions to treat. It is commonly found in mixed dentition with increased prevalence of 21.

Improving robustness by action correction via multi-step maximum risk estimation.

Certifying robustness against external uncertainties throughout the control process to reduce the risk of instability is very important. Most existing approaches based on adversarial learning use a fixed parameter to adjust the intensity of adversarial perturbations and design these perturbations in a greedy manner without considering future implications. However, they often lead to severe vulnerabilities when attack budgets vary dynamically or under foresighted attacks.

Knee pain in patients often involves varus deformity and unicompartmental osteoarthritis (OA). High tibial valgus osteotomy (HTO) is increasingly recognized as an effective treatment, as it realigns the knee's mechanical axis towards the healthier lateral compartment, delaying degenerative changes in the medial compartment and reducing the need for joint replacement. This case report discusses two patients with bilateral knee arthritis and varus deformity who underwent medial opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) using Dr.

To evaluate the combined relationship between ischemia, retinal fluid, and layer thickness measurements with visual acuity (VA) outcomes in patients with retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Swept-source optical coherence tomography (OCT) data were used to assess retinal layer thickness and quantify intraretinal fluid (IRF) and subretinal fluid (SRF) using a deep learning-based, macular fluid segmentation algorithm for treatment-naïve eyes diagnosed with visual impairment resulting from central RVO (CRVO) or branch RVO (BRVO). Patients received 3 loading doses of 2 mg intravitreal aflibercept injections and were then put on a treat-and-extend regimen.

NovoRank: Refinement for Peptide Sequencing Based on Spectral Clustering and Deep Learning.

J Proteome Res

Department of Artificial Intelligence, Hanyang University, Seoul 04763, Republic of Korea.

peptide sequencing is a valuable technique in mass-spectrometry-based proteomics, as it deduces peptide sequences directly from tandem mass spectra without relying on sequence databases. This database-independent method, however, relies solely on imperfect scoring functions that often lead to erroneous peptide identifications. To boost correct identification, we present NovoRank, a postprocessing tool that employs spectral clustering and machine learning to assign more plausible peptide sequences to spectra.
