The onset and development of Alzheimer's disease is linked to the accumulation of pathological aggregates formed from the normally monomeric amyloid-β peptide within the central nervous system. These Aβ aggregates are increasingly successfully targeted with clinical therapies at later stages of the disease, but the fundamental molecular steps in early stage disease that trigger the initial nucleation event leading to the conversion of monomeric Aβ peptide into pathological aggregates remain unknown. Here, we show that the Aβ peptide can form biomolecular condensates on lipid bilayers both in molecular assays and in living cells.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the anticoccidial effects of betaine and a vaccine compared to monensin sodium in experimentally induced coccidiosis in broiler chickens.
Methods: 600 day-old broiler chickens (Ross 308) were randomly assigned to five groups, each with four replicates of 30 birds. While the control group received a basal diet, two experimental groups received basal diet supplemented with either 100 mg/kg monensin sodium or 2.

Iron oxide-based nanoparticles are promising materials for cancer thermal therapy and immunotherapy. However, several proofs of concept reported data with murine tumor models that might have limitations for clinical translation. Magnetite is nowadays the most popular nanomaterial, but doping with distinct ions can enhance thermal therapy, namely, magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia (MNH) and photothermal therapy (PTT).

Objectives: Functional neurological disorder (FND) is a complex disorder, recently attracting much research into aetiology and treatment. However, there is limited research on the patient's lived experience. This paper addresses this gap to ask: 'What is the subjective life experience of adult patients living with FND?'
Methods: From 1980 to 2020, Medline, PsycInfo, Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, CINAHL and Embase were searched for English language qualitative adult research.

Background: Prostate cancer was the fourth most diagnosed cancer worldwide in 2022. Radical treatments and androgen deprivation therapy benefit newly diagnosed patients but impact quality of life, often leading to castration-resistant prostate cancer. Short-term dietary changes significantly affect the gut microbiota, which differs markedly between prostate cancer patients and healthy individuals, impacting both cancer progression and treatment response.
