Haemorrhagic cholecystitis is an uncommon cause of abdominal pain that can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not promptly identified and treated. Known risk factors include trauma, anticoagulation use and cholelithiasis. In a patient with right upper quadrant pain after blunt trauma on anticoagulation without cholelithiasis, haemorrhagic acalculous cholecystitis should be considered in the differential diagnosis, as appeared to be the case in the patient we present here.

Background: Extraintestinal Manifestations (EIMs) are a common and potentially debilitating complication of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), sometimes requiring additional treatment beyond those used to control intestinal disease. IBD-associated arthritis (IAA), a form of spondyloarthritis, is associated with several factors including disease location, sex, and IBD type. However, much remains unknown about other clinical factors predicting development of EIMs.

Background: It remains poorly understood why only some hemodynamically unstable patients who receive aggressive treatment with vasopressor medications develop limb necrosis.
Objective: To determine the incidence of limb necrosis and the factors associated with it following high-dose vasopressor therapy.
Methods: A retrospective case-control medical records review was performed of patients aged 18 to 89 years who received vasopressor therapy between 2012 and 2021 in a single academic medical center.
