Purpose: RING Finger 187 (RNF187) has recently emerged as a potential contributor to tumorigenesis. However, a comprehensive pan-cancer analysis of RNF187 in human tumors has not been undertaken until now.
Methods: Our study aims to investigate RNF187 expression across 33 different types of human tumors, utilizing data from the TCGA and GTEx databases.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health challenge, with hospitals and wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) serving as significant pathways for the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). This study investigates the potential of wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) as an early warning system for assessing the burden of AMR at the population level. In this comprehensive year-long study, effluent was collected weekly from three large hospitals, and treated and untreated wastewater were collected monthly from three associated community WWTPs.

This study enrolled 10 patients diagnosed with premalignant lesions and early-stage gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (GCA), confirmed through endoscopic examination. These patients were subjected to next-generation sequencing (NGS) using a customized 1123-gene panel to identify genetic alterations and signaling pathways. The results were compared to stage IIB to IV GCA samples from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) and a cohort of Hong Kong patients.
