The growing need for personalized, accurate, and non-invasive diagnostic technology has resulted in significant advancements, from pushing current mechanistic limitations to innovative modality developments across various disease-related biomarkers. However, there still lacks clinical solutions for analyzing multiple biomarkers simultaneously, limiting prognosis for patients suffering with complicated diseases or comorbidities. Here, we conceived, fabricated, and validated a multifrequency impedance cytometry apparatus with novel frequency-sensitive barcoded metal oxide Janus particles (MOJPs) as cell-receptor targeting agents.

Department of Stomatology, First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, 710000, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: The role of periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) in mediating osteogenesis involved in orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) is well established. However, various relevant in vitro studies vary in the frequency of tension. The effect of tensile frequency on the mechanotransduction of PDLSCs is not clear.

As the oldest, but least understood sensory system in evolution, the olfactory system represents one of the most challenging research targets in sensory neurobiology. Although a large number of computational models of the olfactory system have been proposed, they do not account for the diversity in physiology, connectivity of local neurons, and several recent discoveries in the insect antennal lobe, a major olfactory organ in insects. Recent studies revealed that the response of some projection neurons were reduced by application of a GABA antagonist, and that insects are sensitive to odor pulse frequency.

Aims: The effects of sympatho-vagal interaction on heart rate (HR) changes are characterized by vagal dominance resulting in accentuated antagonism. Complex autonomic modulation of ventricular electrophysiology may exert prognostic arrhythmic impact. We examined the effects of concurrent sympathetic (SNS) and vagus (VNS) nerve stimulation on ventricular fibrillation threshold (VFT) and standard restitution (RT) in an isolated rabbit heart preparation with intact dual autonomic innervation, with and without beta-blockade.
