Identifying novel, high-yield drug targets is challenging and often results in a high failure rate. However, recent data indicates that leveraging human genetic evidence to identify and validate these targets significantly increases the likelihood of success in drug development. Two recent papers from Open Targets claimed that around half of FDA-approved drugs had targets with direct human genetic evidence.

DNA damage response (DDR) contributes to seed quality by guarding genome integrity in the delicate phases of pre- and post-germination. As a key determinant of stress tolerance and resilience, DDR has notable implications on the wider scale of the agroecosystems challenged by harsh climatic events. The present review focuses on the existing and documented links that interconnect DDR efficiency with an array of molecular hallmarks with biochemical, molecular, and physiological valence within the seed metabolic networks.

Every year there are approximately 3 million new outpatient specialist clinic appointments at local hospital networks in Victoria, Australia. Organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) have become one of the most widely used pesticides in Chinese agriculture; however, methods to identify potential restrictions on OPs molecules are lacking. Therefore, this study retrieved the OPs restriction list and constructed eight multi-class, multi-category machine learning models for OPs restrictions. Among these, the random forest (RF) model demonstrated excellent predictive performance, as it was successfully validated and applied.

Background: Chinese cancer survivors are not doing well in returning to work. Peer support, as an external coping resource to help cancer survivors return to work, brings together members of the lay community with similar stressors or problems for mutual support. Peer volunteers have not received systematic training, so inappropriate language in the support process can often cause secondary damage to both the peer and the cancer survivor.
