Department of Public Utilities Development, Henan Provincial People's Hospital, People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou 450003, Henan, China.

Objective: To explore the effects of veno-venous extra corporeal carbon dioxide removal (V-V ECCOR) on local mechanical power and gas distribution in the lungs of patients with mild to moderate acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) receiving non-invasive ventilation.

Methods: Retrospective research methods were conducted. Sixty patients with mild to moderate ARDS complicated with renal insufficiency who were transferred to the respiratory intensive care unit (RICU) through the 96195 platform critical care transport green channel from January 2018 to January 2020 at the collaborative hospitals of Henan Provincial People's Hospital were enrolled.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment is a growing concern leading to a focus on PFAS occurrence in biosolids, a byproduct of wastewater treatment processes, often applied to improve soil health. This led to the need for analytical method development for assessing PFAS in biosolids. This study compares three methods for PFAS quantitation, evaluating solvent extraction, clean-up techniques, and final injection solvents.

Objectives: Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive neurostimulation technique that uses magnetic field to comprehensively influence events in the brain. Its use in patients after stroke focuses mainly on influencing brain neuroplasticity and therefore has the potential to improve motor functions in these patients. This study investigates the effect of rTMS on motor function recovery in patients in the acute stage of ischemic stroke.

Phthalates (PAEs) are endocrine-disrupting chemicals that are widely present in everyday life and enter the human body through various pathways. The release of PAEs into the environment through pathways that include leaching, evaporation, abrasion, and the use of personal care products exposes humans to PAEs via ingestion, inhalation, and dermal absorption. Pregnant women, as a particularly vulnerable population, risk adverse newborn growth and development when exposed to PAEs.
