The design and development of particulate photocatalysts has been an attractive strategy to incorporate earth-abundant metal ions to water splitting devices. Herein, we synthesized CoFe-Prussian blue (PB) coated ZnO origami core-shell nanostructures (PB@ZnO) with different mass ratio of PB components and investigated their photocatalytic water oxidation activities in the presence of an electron scavenger. Photocatalytic experiments reveal that the integration of PB on ZnO boosts the oxygen evolution rate by a factor of ~2.

Leech locomotion, characterized by alternating sucker attachment and body contraction provides high adaptability and stability on complex terrains. Herein, a leech-inspired triboelectric soft robot is proposed for the first time, capable of amphibious movement, climbing, and load-carrying crawling. A high-performance triboelectric bionic robot system is developed to drive and control electro-responsive soft robots.

This paper presents the reversible transformation between two polymorphs of a hexacatenar liquid crystal () with distinct fluorescence colors at room temperature (RT). This method utilizes mechanical pressure (mechanochromism) and an electric field (E-field-chromism). The molecule (), designed with a pyrene core and 1,2,3-triazole linkers, exhibits a blue-emissive crystalline (CRY) polymorph () and a green-emissive liquid crystalline (LC) polymorph () at RT, depending on the cooling rate from the liquid phase.
